Canopy is a stunning recreation of moonlight through an array of leaves. While the Creature’s first night in the woods is cold and confused, it is also wondrous. He sees the world through the eyes of a child and marvels at the intricacies of his environment. Stavros captures this sense of wonder and connection to the environment through delicate leaf patterns overlaid on an opalescent sphere of white surrounded by soothing blue. Stavros’ work allows us to be transported into the vulnerability and awe of the Creature’s infant perspective. This 1:1, bespoke light sculpture can be displayed both on and off and requires an outlet to function.
